The Calgary English Springer Spaniel Club (CESSC) was founded in 1969 and prides itself in the organization and management of the highest standard of spaniel field trials. To this end, CESSC has been selected by the members of the Canadian National Spaniel Field Trial Association in conjunction with the Canadian Kennel Club to host the 2010 Canadian National Spaniel Field Trial Championship. This prestigious event will take place at the Holmestead and Skaar Creek Farm, southeast of Calgary and run from October 9-12, 2010.

The planned venue for the Nationals will bring together some of the top kennels and Springer Spaniels in North America. Each will vie for Winner of the National, Best Canadian Dog at the National, Best Breeder, Top Amateur, Choice of the Gun Team, and placements. All of this will be managed on a site that has been specifically groomed for spaniel competition and be combined with the western hospitality that Calgary is famous for.

To ensure the success of this championship event the CESSC organizing committee is seeking financial and/or related assistance from governments, businesses, organizations, and individuals that support wildlife conservation, enhancement of the environment, betterment of various working spaniel breeds and the objectives of the club. All contributions will be used for the sole purpose of the 44th Canadian National Spaniel Field Trial Championship. In addition to the heartfelt gratitude of CESSC, sponsors and contributors will receive varying levels of advertising depending on their level of assistance.
